Learn from Master Watercolorist, Zheng Feng

Our free two-hour special program during the November 1st member meeting is led by none other than master watercolorist, Zheng Feng.


"Techniques from Master Watercolorist, Zheng Feng."


Mr. Feng will demonstrate some of his award-winning watercolor techniques during a special, two-hour demonstration and take questions from the audience.


Bio of Zheng Feng Bio:


Zheng Feng grew up in Shanghai where he trained in traditional Chinese painting on rice paper, earning his BFA before teaching for four years. In 1986, he left for the United States and enrolled at Radford University here in Virginia to continue his education . He obtained an MFA in 1989 and became an art professor at Radford University. He paints, shows, teaches, and judges and has a stellar lists of awards and accomplishments. He’s also a member of the American Watercolor Society, the National Watercolor Society and pastel master of the Pastel Society of America. When asked if he was a colorist or tonalist, he answered,


"I feel that I try to incorporate both in my art work. As the seasons and my mood change, the colors and tone change. My style is still evolving and will continue to do so."*
