BAAA members, Betsy Kellum and Patrice Reese, will present the April 5th meeting program, “Critique for BAAA Member Art Works”. Betsy paints in classical and contemporary realism using oil and pastel. She graduated from the College of William and Mary with a BA in Education. Her art studies background includes The Art League School in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia, and workshop studies with Burton Silverman, Roger Dale Brown, Quang Huang, Doug Dawson, and others. She has been a juror or judge for local, state, and regional shows, and is a Signature Member in five International and National Art Societies. Patrice has participated in many workshop studies, including those with Millard Sheets, George Post, Bob Woods, Zoltan Szabo, and Katherine Lou. For the last twenty-five years she has studied in Maine, with Skip Lawrence.
The presenters encourage interested members to bring one piece of art to the critique. It should be unframed but works on paper may be matted. A critique is a learning experience, so bring a piece you may need help in finishing, which is not quite ‘right,’ or needs a fresh perspective.
