Welcome to the web site of the Bon Air Artists Association.
J'net Kaulfers founded the Bon Air Artists Association in 1974, as a result of enthusiasm and encouragement by students enrolled in her oil painting classes. Students were in the custom of having yearly exhibits, originally showing paintings on the fence at J'net's home. As talent and interest grew, so did the need for an organized group. The Bon Air Artists Association was formed and now not only fulfills the wants of a group of avid artists, but also extends its opportunities to the needs of Chesterfield County's escalating community. By promoting cultural awareness, offering excellent programming and giving incoming artists the chance to meet, share, and exhibit with other artists. The Bon Air Artists Association has grown as an active, friendly and stimulating organization serving the area.
The association regularly meets the first Friday of each month, except for July and August, at 9:30 AM at Congregation Or Ami located at 9400 Huguenot Road, Richmond, Virginia. Two types of memberships are available, Exhibiting and Regular. For more information, the Membership Chairperson is Lynn Sewell (804-639-2159), and the President is Gloria Callahan (804-379-0016).
