OUR HISTORY
Bringing Richmond Artists Together
J'net Kaulfers founded the Bon Air Artists Association in 1974, as a result of enthusiasm and encouragement by students enrolled in her oil painting classes. Students were in the custom of having yearly exhibits, originally showing paintings on the fence at J'net's home. As talent and interest grew, so did the need for an organized group. The Bon Air Artists Association was formed and now not only fulfills the wants of a group of avid artists, but also extends its opportunities to the needs of Chesterfield County's escalating community. By promoting cultural awareness, offering excellent programming and giving incoming artists the chance to meet, share, and exhibit with other artists. The Bon Air Artists Association has grown as an active, friendly and stimulating organization serving the area.
